At first this book didn't really appeal to me, but the more I read the more interesting the book got. It really makes you think: what would the world be like without books?

This book is really profound, and has a lot of things you really have to think about to understand, like a lot of symbolism, which was really neat. When I finally finished, I just had this urge to read more books and get smarter.

This book reminded me how, today, we have moved from government suppression of information to consumer self-suppression. It reminds me to widen my range of thought- get away from popular culture and challenge my thinking in new AND traditional ways. Most importantly, not to take my access to information for granted.

In "Fahrenheit 451" Guy Montag lives in a terrible future where all books ever made must be burnt; even possessing one book is cause for arrest. Although he is a firefighter, his job actually is to build fires and burn books. A mysterious girl opens his eyes to his great mistake. Suddenly he finds himself saving books, and trying to help other people understand their importance. Soon you will find yourself in Montag's shoes as you try to find the people he can trust and depend on, and finding the magic behind each page he tries to save.
I loved "Fahrenheit 451"! I would suggest this book to anyone ready for a science fiction thriller.
I give this book five stars! *****
(Nice-good for a BOC pass)
