this novel (one of the funnest in the series) starts when Mr Bathorpe decides the family will become Self sufficient. Also Great Aunt Lucy (who doesn't believe in time),and her dog, Wung Foo, come over. In addition Daisy enters a "mortality" phase and holds funerals all the time. Uncle parker buys a new cat for Grandma. After Great Aunt Lucy breaks her leg and goes to the hospital, Mr. Bagthorpe buys a goat (to be self sufficient) and Daisy instantly falls in love with it. After Great Aunt Lucy comes back from the hospital (Now obsessed with having time exactly), The Parkers decide to hold a banquet. Both Thomas the second and Wung Foo are brought to the banquet and daisy sets them both free as the goat and a tin of maggots get lose. |
