I review as if everything gets five stars in the begining and then I take away stars for things I don't like.
D&D is an excellent game and the only reason it dosen't get full stars is that there are a lot of rules that you need to know and that you need to have a group of at least 4 people before it is fun. But if you have enough people who know the rules and can meet on a regular basis the game gets five stars. Another thing that is a wee bit annoying is that the books that have the rules cost about $30 each, but you can get by without buying all the books.
The game inspires creativity and thinking in an out of the box manner. And each person can customize a character so one person can be a defender of goodlyness and another can shoot fireballs and another can sneak in the shadows.
OK-an abrupt ending, but good for a BOC pass.) |
