This book had a really great plot line. I really like the spanish in it and how well it displays the hardships of crossing the border. It had some sad and some funny in it. It was really good.

Esperanza Rising is a touching story of a girl who goes from riches to rags, literally. Also, with lots of Mexican Immigration going on in the U.S.A. today, it helped me understand what those people are going through. I loved how Esperanza stayed brave even when she was surrounded in darkness. Extremly powerful read!

it was the greatest book ive ever read I didnt choose to read it I had to read it for school but im so glad i read it anyhow. I really liked the way the author writes her books she keeps the reader want to keep going on and keep reading it becase she keeps the interest going and I love the spanish she includes to twist in the story. I loved this book and ive alredy read it 3 times and I love all the other books shes written.

this book is really good for kids who grow up and get whatever they want. i mean because it teaches you to be kind to those that don't really have much, because one day you wont have your parents to buy u anything u want. like me, some kids at my school may have less money and no transportation to get to school other than walking, and i am really kind to them and it's not that they need me to be nice to them. but this book has a really good plotline, it has interesting characters, and Esperanza learns a very important lesson in this book.
